Ellie review

My Ellie active wear review/

I am a Ellie Ambassador and I was sent an outfit designed specially for me, that is the beauty of Ellie.

Each piece is made perfectly to fit your style and body size, using the highest quality materials, and always hold their shape.
You will be asked specific questions in what you want in exercise apparel, if you like bold colors, prints, shorts, capris, racer back tops, tanks, loose fit.
They make sure they have all the information needed to send you the right outfit.
I chose capri pants, and this beautiful racerback top.
I absolutely love it, it is very comfortable, I could wear it all day.
The colors are great, and the Ellie logo is reflective, so if you are out running at dark you will be seen from the front and the back.
Also......if you do not absolutely love it, just send it back and they will replace it for Free.
I hope you love this outfit as much as I do, Ellie has many more pieces to choose from that are right for you.
Just click on the Ellie link here or on the side of the page to sign up and order yours today, and I will have a discount for you.

Let me know what you think of Ellie's new line.

YOUR WORK OUT NEVER
LOOKED THIS GOOD

energybits Review

Reviewing energybits/

I recently received a product in the mail sent to me to try out, and review. They are called energybits and look like little green pills, made of 100% spirulina alae.
These pills are to boost your mental and physical energy, and endurance naturaly.
I decided to take mine around 2 in the afternoon, when I usually feel a bit sluggish before a run. I took 20 by swallowing them, they do not have the best smell but you get past that pretty quick. I do feel they gave me a little extra kick that I needed to get through my afternoon run.
And knowing they are 100 % natural is a big plus for me!
And also non GMO

Best used for:

  • Increasing Energy

  • Increasing Endurance

  • Increasing Mental Vitality

  • High Protein Snack

  • Curbing Hunger

  • Meal Replacement

  • Balancing Blood Sugar

  • Lowering Blood Pressure

  • Reducing Fatigue

How to take them:
For best results, swallow at least 30 ENERGYbits® (or more) before any workout, run, game or intense physical or mental activity. They will improve your energy and endurance. Also take whenever you are tired, hungry or don't have time to eat or cook. They are a terrific high protein, low calorie snack or meal on the go.  A favorite of Olympic athletes.Swallow with beverage (or chew them as you would a handful of nuts). Remember, they're "bits" of food (not pills

They also have/ skinnybits, recoverybits, and vitalitybits.
Those I have not tried so I cannot give a comment, if you have any questions on these energybits just go to www.energybits.com

If you would like to order your own just enter the word BLOG in their coupon box, and you will save 10% on your purchase.
I would recommend energybits, they are the healthiest and most natural way to get energized!
Let me know if you have tried them, and what they have done for you.

Running a 8K with my boys

Running a Irish 8K with my boys.

I am so excited to say I am running a race with a couple of my sons, it is the Irish Run in St. Paul, MN.
It is a time where my husband is taking our youngest son to Washington D.C. to visit all the Smithsonian's, and I wanted to
find something to do as a mom and sons day.

One of my boys is a runner, and one doesn't particularly like to run at all. So you can imagine how happy it made me when he said......Yeah, I'll do it. Happy face here.

We will all come in at different times, but meet at the finish line together.
Its moments like these that I just beam as a Mother, I have boys that don't mind hanging out with this old lady and joining in on
her fun runs.
If anyone in the Twin Cities area would like to join in on the fun, just come along, I would love to meet area runners or just anyone out to have outdoor fun.
I can't wait till March 24th, I will definitely have pics to share.

Tell me what you do to get your family together, and have fun.
I would love to know if you run as a family, or everyone just meets you at the finish line.

Working out when feeling Blah~~

Not in the workout Mood!!

Do you have those days when the couch looks a more appealing then getting in a good workout?
Today is that day for me, I feel exhausted, and worn out.
The day is cloudy, mix of snow, rain, and sleet coming down. Yuck!

I know my body needs the exercise, I have been working out long enough to know once I get started I will feel better. Its just the getting started part that is hard.
But.....I decided to get in the gym, even if I did a little its better than nothing at all.
I went to the gym, got on the treadmill and started at a fast walk, turned into a light jog, which turned into a run.
4 miles later......I am feeling revived, more energy, and happy.
Continued on with floor work, weights, and heavy bag.

My Sunday is turning out better than I thought, I will save my couch time for tonight when I will watch a movie with my hubby.
Life turns out the way you want it when you make the right choices, And we can all choose to do something to make our days better, for me that is getting in a good run.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday!
What do you do to get out of your slump/funk?

Running With Brian

Tips to improve your running pace/

My son agreed to guest write on my blog on becoming a better runner, weather it be faster, stronger or endurance.

Brian has been competing in Cross Country, Track, and Winter Track since the 7th grade and all through college.

This is his first addition to my blog.

Pace: Many people don’t think about their pace when they run, but it is one of the easiest things to do in order to improve on your performance. It doesn’t cost anything and you don’t have to put in any extra time. The general rule is 180 steps a minute, that’s 90 steps with each foot per minute. It is easy to gauge where you’re at as long as you wear a watch when you run. Another important technique is to try and run with more of a mid foot strike. It slows you down each step when you land on your heels. These provide what is called free energy and help you to run more efficiently.

If you have any questions for Brian pertaining to running, feel free write them out here.

Thank you Brian!

MostFit Suspension Strap Review

Reviewing the MostFit suspension strap/

I was recently sent the MostFit suspension strap to try out and review, it is a product I haven't tried before.

Greatest part about this piece of workout gear is, you can take and do it anywhere.
In the park, at a hotel, anywhere with a door.
It took a little time to learn how to do a few of the moves, but once I got into it I could really feel the muscles working.
A few moves take some getting used to, but once learning the right technique its simple as pie.

It works your upper body, and lower body, and the floor move really works your abdominals.
I thought I was in pretty good shape till trying that one, I could feel it working my abs big time.
And not just the abs, as you pull your knees in towards your chest your upper body needs to be strong enough to hold your weight.

I love the MostFit suspension strap, it can go with me anywhere. Fits in my carryon, gym bag, or just throw it in my car to have ready anytime.
